Looking out the window right now, it’s hard to believe we’re two weeks away from the first scheduled workday. Thank you everyone who attended the kick off meeting on March 17th. We’re looking forward to another successful season, but that will require some cooperation from the weather. Stay tuned as we approach April 21st. If it seems like it will be an unhappy work day, we may take the decision to wait until the 28th. Please see the Calendar for our currents schedule.
Please note that there are still some plots available to interested gardeners. If you know of someone who would be interested, please contact the committee via the garden email address, email@example.com .
This is a reminder for this week’s (June 28th) Weeding Evening and Compost Tea Demo.
Please arrive promptly for 6:00pm, as we have a guest coming to provide a talk about Compost Teas. Please also bring a $5 donation for her time. Afterwards we can get to work on the weeding and tree cleaning, and other activities as needed around the garden – ask Jen or Linda if you’re looking for a task. The talk may last up to an hour, depending on how the questions and answers go, so it can be a later evening than usual.
It’s raining sideways! In view of the poor weather, we will put off our weeding evening until next Wednesday, May 31 at 6:00 pm. The compost tea workshop is also cancelled for this evening, as is the HSCA farmers market. Stay Dry!
